In addition to his work with the firm, he holds the position of City Public Defender in Long Beach, Mississippi, where he advocates for those in need of legal representation.

Matthew is a fan of historical non-fiction and science-fiction literature. He enjoys cheering on Ole Miss Athletics and spending time outdoors as a sportsman, particularly hunting whitetail deer, dove, and waterfowl.
